Join us as we take a 4-week HeartLine Approach to educate caregivers, loved ones, spouses, partners and all trans allies in learning how to support and lift up the Transgender loved one in our family as they go through the most difficult emotional, physical, and spiritual transformation of their lives.
In this 4-week self-paced course we will deepen your knowledge of how support, culture, religion, and integration affect the Mental Health of the Transgender client through the years it can take from the decision to have surgical intervention to completing the surgical process.
Week One- Body – Understand the Trans body and the thoughts, behaviors, and emotions play a role in the decision to have surgery.
Week Two – Mind- Understand challenges through culture, socioeconomics, and race to having surgery and the role family, Friends, and social support play a role in mental health throughout the process and coping strategies for recovery.
Week Three – Spirit - Acquire a depth of understanding how Religion and Spirituality play roles in the decision to have or not have surgery.
Week Four- The Integrated Self - The emotional/physical backflips of the inner voice postoperatively and how to support the resilience factor. The way that relationships shift, end and expand in relationships when one person transitions.
